CORPORACIÓN VIALIBRE ARTE COLOMBIA

 

Based in the city of Medellin and established in 2003, the Corporacion VIALIBRE ARTE COLOMBIA (CVLAC) is a cultural organization that aims to promotes art in its various forms, through creation, production, & training. CVLAC is revitalizing the cultural industries through projects aimed at society's many levels. Through these projects, CVLAC aims to create memorable experiences for the viewers or beneficiaries and to benefit the artistic landscape as a whole. CVLAC uses artistic content as a powerful means to inspire growth, impact, and sustainability within many cultural and artistic industries.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Corporacion VIALIBRE ARTE COLOMBIA (CVLAC) aims to promote art in its various forms. CVLAC aims to strengthen the Colombian cultural identity, develop professional and innovative work in accordance with the changes in society and the cultural processes that generate societal change.


VISION:

By 2019, CVLAC's vision is to be a cultural organisation that continuously revitalizes itself by adapting to new artistic trends, new educational programs, greater production, & profitable commercial endeavours. Its fundamental objectives is be a developer, creator, & disseminator of art as a way of life, and a means of expression & duty to a cultural identity.

 

In line with its mission statement, CVLAC has since its inception been developing dramatic & theatrical projects, as well as, cultural and entrepreneurial training schemes in spite of the challenges CVLAC has faced.

Here are some of the notable achievements of CVLAC:

 

  • A partnership agreement with the Ministry of Culture. Our agreemet has led to the establishment of the national choreographic assembly, held on the island of Providencia and Santa Catalina, in addition to the implementation of  production and theatre training. (2015)

  • The creation and production of the Festival de Danza Huellas Folcloriada Medellín, with the participation of over 60 companies from the cities of  Medellin, Antioquia, and Colombia as a whole. (2013, 2014 & 2015)

  • Active participation in the unification and strengthening of the Medellin & Antioquia dance industry through leadership of the Folkloric Dance sub-sector and the Dance Council of Medellin (2013-2015)

  • Resource management for Celebra de la Danza in Medellin (2014 & 2015)

  • Active participation in the management and celebration of International Dance Day in Medellin (2010-2012)

  • Recipient of the Mayor of Medellin's Creation of Contemporary Dance Scholarship in 2006 for its production Mis Pies Hablan

  • Recipient of support from the Ministry of Culture`s Programa de Concertacion in 2005 for its production Colombia Sin Fronteras

  • Participation of its dance group in the Festival del Plectro in La Rioja, Spain (2003)
